Rapid progress of Guangxi petrochemical project in Qinzhou port during Spring Festival
Progress has been made in the transformation and upgrading project of refining and chemical integration by China Petroleum Guangxi Petrochemical Company, located in the Qinzhou Port area of the Guangxi Pilot Free Trade Zone, during the Spring Festival.
Before the Spring Festival, the project completed the hoisting operation of the first F1101 modular cracking furnace radiation chamber, a core equipment of the ethylene unit of 1.2 million metric tons per year. This radiation chamber, measuring 35 meters in length, 4.7 meters in width, 18 meters in height, and weighing 210 tons, is the first lift of the ethylene unit and a crucial milestone in the project.
During the Spring Festival, 3,500 people worked at the project site, and a holiday construction incentive mechanism was implemented to ensure project progress. To help frontline workers feel at home, participating units prepared generous gifts for the Year of the Dragon and organized activities such as delivering blessings, hanging Spring Festival couplets, and pasting window flowers.
The refining and chemical integration project of China Petroleum Guangxi Petrochemical is a major project in the national petrochemical industry planning layout and a strategic project for China Petroleum to promote the "reducing oil and increasing chemicals" structural adjustment. The project involves the construction of 14 sets of chemical processing units and two sets of refining units, with plans for completion and production by 2025. It is expected to generate an annual output value of 30 billion yuan ($4.17 billion) and tax revenue of 3 billion yuan after production.
