Smart supervision enhances efficient clearance at Nanning airport
Nanning Wuxu International Customs has pioneered a virtual checkpoint supervision model, enhancing airside transit efficiency and ensuring seamless international and domestic cargo transfer. In the first two months of this year, the airside transit center handled 10,420 items and 204 metric tons of cargo, up 33.1 percent and 43.8 percent year-on-year.
"Previously, goods had to pass through international warehouses before domestic transfer, which was time-consuming. Now, they can be quickly transferred, ensuring the freshness of seafood, reducing costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction," said Huang Yuzhou, general manager of Guangxi's freight company.
Nanning airport customs has consistently worked to streamline clearance processes recently, optimize cross-border e-commerce export supervision, and advance seamless clearance reforms. It has facilitated the expansion of cross-border e-commerce supervision sites and established a 24-hour truck-air logistics network connecting the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Nanning, and ASEAN.
"The integration of the virtual checkpoint and direct tarmac transfer measures has made international cargo transit at Nanning airport more convenient, with more efficient supervision and tangible benefits for businesses," stated Zhong Changcheng, section chief of Nanning Wuxu Airport Customs.
