
13 signed projects deepen China-Malaysia cooperation
China (Guangxi)-Malaysia Business Promotion Conference and China-Malaysia Parks Upgrading and Development Dialogue were held in Malaysia on April 11. Enterprises from Guangxi and Malaysia formalized a total of 13 cooperation projects covering various sectors, trade contracts, park construction, financial services, halal food certification, and collaborations in AI development.
To facilitate economic and trade channels between Guangxi enterprises and the ASEAN market, the unveiling ceremony of the Guangxi Products Experience Center, Malaysia, was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on April 10. It is the first permanent overseas experience center for Guangxi products, regularly showcasing over 40 categories of "Made in Guangxi" products.
Guangxi has deepened practical cooperation with Malaysia in recent years, better serving and integrating into constructing the China-Malaysia community of shared destiny.
By the end of 2024, Guangxi's cumulative investment in Malaysia reached $1.37 billion, while Malaysia's actual investment in Guangxi totaled $260 million. The China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park has signed agreements for 345 projects, with a total industrial output value of 106 billion yuan. The Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park has signed agreements for 15 projects, with a total industrial output value exceeding 100 billion yuan, driving an annual increase of over 15 million metric tons in throughput at Kuantan Port and creating nearly 20,000 job opportunities.
